The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:
- Knowledge Development ( Elearning, independent study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving
- Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills
- Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore!
Knowledge review can be instructor/book/lecture style or PADI E-learning, online which is what we are currently recommending, as it lets, you study and complete the knowledge portion at home rather than dedicate another day with an instructor.
We provide your gear, weights, tanks, regulators, BC for all pool sessions.
We also provide your mask, fins snorkels, for the first 2 classes, after that you have to have our own. This is your personal gear.
( We sell this equipment in our shop )
After Pool sessions and knowledge review are completed, you are ready for your open water dives and certification. We do OW dives starting in the spring.
Then you are fully certified to dive within your limits and to 60 feet max depth.
Average number of pool sessions are 5-8, depending on the student.
